About SCECC

The cricket club originally existed as Rodexians CC, founded in 1947, as a 'works' team for the clothing factory in Bletchley, named Rodex.

When their home ground was sold in 1969 on the site of Bletchley Tesco and V7 Saxon Street, the club relocated to - and became - Rickley Park CC, continuing to play Saturday and Sunday cricket. A midweek side began to compete in 1987.

The 1993 season saw another name change to become Shenley Church End CC, and moved to play it's home fixtures in the grounds of Denbigh School. The club later joined the Four Counties Cricket League in 2001, starting in Division 5.

In 2002, SCECC decided on a change of home ground (but no club name alteration) relocating to Manor Fields in Bletchley, sharing the facilities provided by of Bletchley Town CC and since settling into surroundings on the lower pitch at the Manor.

From the 2024 season, we relocated to Marsh Drive Pavilion in Great Linford, Milton Keynes.

BIG STATEMENT TO THE NEW LEAGUE

A dominant all-round performance from Shenley Church End CC 1st XI saw us open our new league campaign in style with a convincing 9-wicket victory over Wicken CC.

After winning the toss and electing to field, Shenley produced a ruthless bowling display to dismiss Wicken for just 91 in 21.5 overs. Nathan Browne starred with the ball, taking an outstanding 5-27, well supported by Ram Sabapathy (2-19) and Krishna Karri (1-9).

In reply, Shenley chased the target comfortably, reaching 93-1 in 20.4 overs. Vid Khaladkar anchored the innings superbly with an unbeaten 41, while Dinesh Yadav added a composed 30 not out to guide the side home.

A disciplined bowling effort, sharp fielding, and calm batting performance capped off an impressive start to life in the new league and sent a clear message to the rest of the division.
