30/04/2011 - VIEW FROM THE CHAIRMAN'S BALCONYThe new season is almost upon us and we have already been treated to an early summer with temperatures in the mid 20’s. A welcome change from previous years where flood, frost and snow have not been uncommon.We continue to compete in the FCCL (Saturday), MKSL (Sunday) and MKDCL (Midweek). There are also a number of non league fixtures to fill the vacant league dates. Further details are available from the club’s website. Our indoor nets and outdoor practices have proved very popular and a number of new club members have had a chance to exercise their skills and meet the club members. Welcome to all of you and I hope you all have an enjoyable season. The club has a new match shirt sponsor for this season, David Lock Associates. My personal thanks go to Simon Pugh who has secured the funds and organised the shirts on behalf of us all. The club continues with its touring tradition and once again will see us in the Bournemouth area over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend. Those new to Shenley touring can expect encounters with Superman, bears and Teagle Hill... and beer!! Finally, I wish you all an enjoyable Shenley season.
