17/04/2008 - OUTDOOR PRACTICE SESSIONS BOOKEDShenley Church End are aiming to gear up their pre-season efforts by organising a host of outdoor practice sessions for club members to attend, in the crossover between nets finishes and the 2008 campaign starting. The first session will be held on Tuesday 22nd April with a 6:20pm for 6:30pm meet on the bottom pitch at Manor Fields, and will focus on throwing and catching drills designated to warm the hands and arms up. If it ends up raining on Tuesday, the practice session will be re-arranged 2 days later on the Thursday. Other sessions will go ahead in the following Wednesday slots, left free by the late start to the Midweek season, and will also take place at the Manor:
- Wednesday 30th April Saturday vice-captain Richard Fletcher rallied the troops by reminding those who maybe "under-ripe" that every practice counts! "Just a reminder that there is only one Sunday and 1 Wednesday net left so this is your last chance to get into shape ready for the season, then on the 2 Wednesday's up until the midweek season we will be having outdoor fielding/catching practice at the same time as above."
