24/04/2007 - SCECC'S SOCIAL EVENTS GATHER PACE!Shenley's fully packed social calendar throughout the 2007 Season has begun to take shape, a chance for all players to catch up with their counterparts away from the Cricket field. Take a look at the events below. One of SCECC's aims this season is to organise more social events to keep all Saturday/Sunday and midweek cricketers in touch and keep the club feel going. If there are any events you would like to suggest or organise, simply inform the committee and it can be publicised!
Meet at the Cock Hotel at 7.30pm for beers/ales and lemonades, with possibility of moving onto other establishments and the inevitable curry to finish off. Always a good laugh, so get yourself along to kick off the season and catch up with your team-mates.
This superb cover band are playing at the Clock Inn, Shenley Leisure Centre. We first saw them on the club Rugby day out at Northampton in February and we feel they are well worth another visit. This will be a WAG'd up event, so bring 'em along! Take a look at their website at http://www.getspacedout.co.uk and especially the News and Pics sections. Spot anyone you know?!
This goes without saying! See the link to the left... That page is to be updated with further details from our Tour Director...
There will be an all comers "Peakers Pork Pit" BBQ at Otter Close, Bletchley. Andy will of course let us know details nearer the time.
The club will be on 'The Hill' at Campbell Park again this year for the Northants match with Gloucestershire on Monday 2nd July. The actual game starts at 5:30pm and gates open at 3:30pm, but for those with a love of cricket and a thirst for good beer, we will be meeting at Wetherspoons at 12.30 for a 'pre-match warm up'. All are welcome, tickets can be bought from http://www.nccc.co.uk for £12 - but hurry, tickets are selling quick! For those who cannot make Jay Fletcher's Stag Do, which starts the follow day, this is a prime opportunity to ply him with lemonade...
